Responsibilities The Dental Administrative Assistant will maintain and organize all administrative functions in the front office, including reception tasks – receiving and distributing office mail and email, answering the office phone and distributing calls or messages accordingly, communicating patients' arrival promptly, managing administrative records among other duties. The Dental Administrative Assistant will also work with administrative scheduling, including maintaining office records, documenting patient dental treatments and transactions, following office procedures for patient referrals and scheduling of office appointments. Other duties include maintaining office accounts receivable information, making financial arrangements with patients before treatments and ordering office and administrative supplies.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Approx. 32 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * College Degree Preferred or High school diploma required along with equivalent work experience. * Experience in dental or healthcare field preferred.

Completes administrative tasks, such, bank deposits, revenue posting, accounts receivable reports and invoice processing correctly and within deadline (as directed by management)
Maintains patient data to include required regulatory chart documents, personal information, treatment consultation documentation, account history transactions and electronic Dentrix data.
Performs appropriate payment and insurance processes. Maintains facilities and equipment cleanliness and safety and reports and/or corrects hazards when necessary in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including OSHA.
Ensures flawless execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Responding and resolving patient grievances, complaints, and inquiries and seeks assistance when necessary. Escalating to management when needed.
Continually works towards building and sustaining a collaborative, professional, and positive work environment with Doctor and other team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a dental practice (Preferred)
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Eaglesoft (Preferred)
Possesses a track record for providing outstanding customer service; Is capable of addressing and mitigating needs and concerns of patients.
Proven history of achieving results; Sets goals and actively rallies others to achieve them.
Is a clear and persuasive communicator to staff and Doctors in positive or negative situations, both verbally and in writing.
